Welcome to the principal's page at Marble Elementary School!

Marble is one of four elementary schools in the East Lansing Public School System, providing an outstanding education for all of its students The Marble community is a very caring, child-centered and family oriented school. We have an outstanding, dedicated teaching and support staff and enjoy superb parent and community support. The Marble Parent Council is extremely active and helpful in a variety of ways including their holistic fund-raising approach that creates and hosts events bringing families, the school and the community together in meaningful ways that support our district's strategic plan, school improvement, students growth, and academic achievement.

Our school prides itself on a high level of parent involvement, a highly qualified and empathetic staff, a safe, orderly and nurturing school climate, and incredible compassionate children who work diligently to be great learners and world citizens each day. Students at Marble school receive a well-rounded education based on a technology integrated academic curriculum with emphasis on differentiated instructional practices that meet the varying needs and interests of all of our students. Instruction is also differentiated in the special academic areas of music, art and physical education.

Marble enjoys a diverse student and family population with a variety of ethnic, cultural, racial, language, and socio-economic backgrounds. This celebrated diversity serves to nurture our students and prepare them to be world citizens through broadened experiences and perspectives. Our students learn to cooperate with others through a variety of classroom and school settings and learning activities. As the principal at Marble Elementary School, I enjoy being a part of such a warm, lively, and thriving learning environment. I am committed to my role in the continued progress of our school and in providing the experiences that our students need to help them to be successful now and in the future.
