Planning Assumptions

Planning participants articulated these assumptions about strategic planning outcomes:

1. The process will yield clarity about the vision, mission, critical issues, develop strategic directions to address the issues, and establish accountability for evaluating outcomes.

2. The strategic plan is part of an ongoing process, not an end result, and its successful implementation requires commitment on the part of the Board, Administration and Staff to taking the "long view" on behalf of East Lansing Public Schools.
