Purpose:
The African and non-African students in East Lansing High School have
realized our responsibility to contribute to the enhancement of intellectual
development of our own high school scholars about the African culture, while
at the same time helping to advance those underprivileged scholars in Africa.

Objectives
Our objective in making the world, community, and our school more productive
are:
-To engage in activities aiming at liberating the African mind from
stereotypes of self-hatred and instilling self-worth and pride.
-To provide education about the African culture, form its members and every
day issues of the continent, to anyone who is willing to join.
-To make sure that this club is multi-cultured and multi-raced group of
students who want to broaden their mind of their peers.
-To promote and coordinate educational events for the awareness of the
African life, culture, with other clubs, organizations', and individuals
-Provide "African hospitality" for newly arrived African students and
already established scholars and support them throughout their stay in ELHS
