Below is a list of all Parent Council organized events for the 2015-16 school year. To ensure these events take place, co-chairs and volunteers are greatly needed.

Events that still need a co-chair are indicated below. Also, any event Amanda and Theresa are chairing will need someone to take on as a chairperson for the 2016-17 school year. Contact Pinecrest Parent Council at if you are interested chairing or co-chairing any of these events.

The “CRAZY FUN COLOR RUN” was a huge success. We raised over $8,700.00, keeping expenses down
to nearly $2,700.00, resulted in a net of about $6,000.00. Pinecrest Parent Council uses this money to
cover student expenses, which include but are not limited to:

  • Transportation to field trips: $3,125.00
  • Teacher reimbursement’s for classroom supplies: $3,500.00
  • Movie license: $440.00
  • Big Zoo Lesson: $1,935.00
  • ½ the cost for The Wharton Center: $2,200.00

Running this event ourselves saved us nearly $2,000.00, the kids had a great time, and each received a
Pinecrest Puppy t-shirt which was not something we have done in the past.
